There is a dispute going on between Manali Biker Union and Leh-Ladakh Bike Rental Cooperative Limited. Leh unions are preventing the bikers from Manali from going to Leh, while the bikers have all India permits. There was an uproar in Manali after bikes rented out to tourists were vandalized in Leh. Angry bikers association blocked the road near the four-lane bridge on the Manali-Leh National Highway. Due to this, the traffic came to a complete standstill for about 10 minutes. Long queues of vehicles were seen on Manali-Leh, Manali-Kullu, Kullu-Manali Left Road and roads leading to Hidimba Temple. On the assurance of the police, the biker removed the picket. Manali Biker Association says that 15 bikes were taken by tourists from Manali on Sunday night. They were sabotaged a little behind Leh. He alleged that the people of Ladakh Bike Rental Cooperative Limited vandalised. But even an FIR was not registered in Leh regarding the incident. On Monday, all the bike operators of Manali gathered and blocked the road as a protest. On the Manali-Leh road, near the four-lane bridge, people sat on the road to protest. The police team immediately reached the spot and explained to the protesters. Police assured that FIR is being done in Leh. Action will be taken according to the law on the vehicles coming from Leh without permit. After this the protesters withdrew from the dharna. SDM Manali Raman Kumar Sharma and DSP KD Sharma said that the Kullu administration is in talks with the Leh administration in this matter.

15 bikes and a camper that went back from Leh to Manali have been vandalised. This was done by the Leh Biker Union people. Leh administration is not cooperating with them. Even the FIR is not being registered in the case. We are riding the bike according to the law. Despite having all the documents, we are not being allowed to go to Leh. They reach here even without documents.

Hello, any update on whether manali bike rentals are allowing bikes to take till leh ? Was the issue resolved, seems to be thrillophilia team dropped us an email that they cannot get bike due to the bike rental association,
