 The inauguration of the Atal tunnel Rohtang is done by Prime Minister Narendra Modi Ji on October 3rd, 2020.

Tourists are also allowed to go through the tunnel and visit Sissu village. Beyond Atal tunnel toward Lahoul you may not allowed to go as things will depend on the  daily road condition due to weather. You may not allowed to reach Atal Tunnel if there is snow on the road and road is slippery.

Open time: 24x7.

Maintenance Time(May vary sometime): From 9:00 AM to 10:00 AM in the morning

and from 4:00 PM to 5:00 PM in the evening.

The decision of closing the tunnel for one hour is taken due to the maintenance activity which is being carried out twice a day.

Atal tunnel which people also called Rohtang tunnel connects beautiful Manali to Beautiful Lahoul & Spiti.

Many areas of the tribal district of Lahaul-Spiti received fresh snowfall on Monday night. Due to snowfall in Udaipur region, normal life has been disturbed and the wheels of Kullu and Keylong buses running from Udaipur remained stuck for hours.
Buses started on all six to seven routes of the corporation from Udaipur to Kullu and Keylong after three hours after clearing the snow from the road. At the same time, after the fresh snowfall last week, the Atal Tunnel via Rohtang has started operating buses after four days from Tuesday. Which has brought relief to the people of Lahaul Valley. On the other hand, the movement of small vehicles has started on the highway-305 blocked for buses for four days, but from Baranala to Jalori Pass, there is a danger of slippery at many places.

This is the best time to visit Atal Tunnel Rohtang here and also you can try to visit Sissu village but Leh is closed for tourists.
